FAQ

Common questions about the application meeting

If you’re wondering what to expect, you’re not alone. Here are the questions most families ask before they book.

Is this a sales call or a high-pressure interview?

No. It’s a relaxed, relational conversation. We’ll share information, ask a few gentle questions about your home and routines, and give you space to ask anything on your mind. There’s no script you have to “pass” and absolutely no pressure to decide on the call.

What will we talk about?

We’ll talk about your family’s weekly rhythm, past dog experience (if any), preferences around temperament and size, and any special considerations like children, allergies, or therapy goals. We’ll also walk through the Stokeshire process — from reservation to go-home day — so everything feels clear and predictable.

Do I have to decide anything during the meeting?

No. Our goal is to give you a peaceful, well-informed foundation — not rush you. After the call, you’re welcome to take time to think, talk as a family, and pray or reflect before deciding whether to move forward.

How long is the meeting and what platform do you use?

The call is about 15 minutes on Google Meet. All times are shown and scheduled in Central Standard Time (CST). Once you pick a time, you’ll receive an email with the Meet link and reminders.

What should I prepare or bring?

You don’t need anything formal. It can help to have a rough idea of: your ideal timing, your typical weekday/weekend rhythm, and any specific questions you’d like answered (health, training, travel, kids, etc.). Come as you are — we’ll guide the rest.

What happens after the meeting if it feels like a good fit?

If you feel peaceful about moving forward, we’ll walk you through the reservation process and timelines in plain language. You’ll know what to expect next — including key dates, communication points, and training options — so you never feel “in the dark.”

Can I get quick answers without booking yet?

Yes. Our Stokeshire chat assistant is available anytime for quick questions or gentle guidance about timing, training, travel, and more. If you’d like a human conversation after that, you can always come back here to schedule.

Ready to feel clear and cared for?

The application meeting is simply the next gentle step — a chance to connect face-to-face, ask your questions, and see whether a Stokeshire pup is the right match for your family’s story.
