How to Adopt an Available Doodle Puppy from Stokeshire

(Post–Selection Day Adoption Process)

At Stokeshire Designer Doodles, our mission is to raise healthy, emotionally sound, and well-prepared family dogs through intentional breeding and thoughtful placement. Based in Wisconsin and trusted by families nationwide, we are proud to be a licensed, inspected breeder known for transparency, structure, and care.

Occasionally, after our formal Puppy Pick Day events conclude, a small number of puppies remain available. This page outlines how adoption works for those puppies—outside of the traditional waitlist process.

Step 1: View Available Puppies

Puppies listed on this page are currently available for adoption and were not selected during initial waitlist appointments.

• Pricing typically begins at $3,500, varying by breed, size, and coat

• Each puppy profile includes photos, basic temperament notes, and background information

• Availability is real-time and may change quickly

Step 2: Post–Selection Day Adoption (Outside the Waitlist)

What This Process Is

This adoption pathway is designed for puppies available after Selection Day, when waitlist families have completed their choices.

These puppies are:

• No longer tied to a specific waitlist order

• Available on a first-qualified, first-confirmed basis

• Placed intentionally, not rushed or discounted

How Placement Works

Priority Outreach

After Selection Day, we first notify families on our general interest list that puppies are available.

Public Availability

If puppies remain unclaimed, they are opened to the public for inquiry and placement consideration.

Step 3: Puppy Reservation for Available Puppies

To ensure fairness and avoid overlapping inquiries, we offer a short-term Puppy Reservation Agreement for available puppies.

Puppy Reservation Deposit — $500 + tax

• Temporarily reserves a specific available puppy

• Removes the puppy from public availability

• Applied toward the final purchase price if you proceed

• Non-refundable, governed by our standard Reservation & Refund Policy

Reservation Window

• Reservations are valid for up to 48 hours

• During this time, a virtual or in-person meeting may be scheduled

• If checkout is not completed within the reservation window, the puppy may be released

This reservation exists to support thoughtful, timely decisions, not extended consideration.

Step 4: Meet the Puppy (Virtual or In-Person)

We’re happy to arrange a Google Meet or in-person visit (when feasible) during the reservation window.

During this time, we’ll:

• Review temperament observations

• Discuss health, care, and daily routines

• Answer your questions honestly and thoroughly

Our goal is clarity and confidence—not pressure.

Step 5: Finalize Adoption

If you decide to move forward:

• Checkout is completed securely online

• Your reservation deposit is applied toward the final balance

• Go-home timing is scheduled (often within 1–7 days, depending on age and logistics)

Delivery is available throughout the U.S., or you may pick up in person.

Important Adoption Notes

• Reservation deposits do not create a trial or refundable hold

• Passing on a puppy does not result in a refund

• Training timelines (including Doodle School or Bootcamp) are not paused by reservations

• Availability is not guaranteed until checkout is complete

These policies allow us to protect puppy welfare, training consistency, and fairness to all families.

Step 6: Prepare for Your Puppy

Once adoption is confirmed, we’ll help you prepare for a smooth transition:

• Puppy prep checklist

• Feeding and routine guidance

• First vet visit recommendations

• Optional training enrollment
