Begin
the
Journey.
This is not a transaction. It is the beginning of a relationship — between your family, your dog, and the people who raised them with intention from the first day of their life.
We do not place
puppies quickly.
We place them
carefully.
At Stokeshire, our dogs are raised and trained for families who understand that the relationship between a dog and their home is one of the most consequential decisions either will ever be part of.
Every family who receives a Stokeshire puppy has been reviewed — not to exclude, but to ensure that what we've built for each dog continues in the right hands. That standard is how we protect our dogs, our families, and the integrity of everything we do.
The families who are the right fit don't find these standards difficult. They find them reassuring.
A Stokeshire dog is a 12–15 year commitment to another living being's care, training, health, and emotional world. Families who treat this with full seriousness are the families our dogs thrive with.
The families who invest in their dog's training — whether through our Doodle School program or a committed local trainer — consistently describe their experience in entirely different terms than those who don't. The dog isn't different. The relationship is.
What we build in the first weeks of a puppy's life provides the foundation. What you build in the first year determines the structure. Both matter — and we're here to support the second part just as fully as we invest in the first.
This application is not a reservation. It is a mutual alignment check — an opportunity for us to understand your family, and for you to understand what Stokeshire actually is before you commit to anything.
At Stokeshire, we raise exceptional, therapy-grade companions for families who value temperament, health, and ethical breeding above immediacy. Our program is intentionally limited, and each placement is thoughtfully curated to ensure the right match between puppy and home.
We take equal care in selecting our breeding pairings and the environments where our dogs will spend their lives — because both matter. Families who demonstrate preparation, alignment, and long-term commitment are given priority consideration for upcoming placements. Every Stokeshire puppy is entrusted to a home that meets our highest standards of care, leadership, and responsibility.
This request is intentionally thorough, yet designed to be clear and approachable. Your answers don't need to be perfect. They simply help us understand your lifestyle, preferences, and hopes so we can recommend the right Stokeshire placement with confidence.
What to expect
from this request.
The request is thorough by design — we need to understand who you are, not just what breed you want. Most families complete it on their phone in a single sitting. You can save progress and return.
At any point in the request where you'd like guidance, select "Not sure." Our team will follow up personally to walk you through the decision. This is a conversation — not an exam.
Our team reviews every placement request personally. If you're a strong fit for a current or upcoming litter, we'll reach out to discuss next steps. If timing isn't right, you'll remain on our active list.
Submitting this request does not reserve a puppy or require a financial commitment. A $500 placement deposit is required only once a specific puppy match has been identified and confirmed by our team.
Your answers don't need to be perfect. They simply help us understand your lifestyle, preferences, and hopes — so we can recommend the right Stokeshire placement with confidence.
If you'd prefer to speak with someone before submitting, schedule a virtual call with our team. We're happy to walk you through the process and answer any questions.
