Lineage & Genetics
Ichthyosis (ICH1). Luna carries one copy of the Golden Retriever variant; Apollo is clear. Roughly half the litter may carry one copy. No puppy in this pairing can be affected.
Copper Toxicosis (attenuating variants). Luna carries one copy each of two attenuating variants associated with lower copper accumulation; Apollo is clear. These are modifiers, not disease-causing variants, and no puppy in this pairing can inherit two copies of either.
No overlapping recessive risk is expected from this pairing based on available genetic data. Apollo tested clear across his full panel.
Temperament Assessment
Draco was evaluated using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test at approximately 7 weeks of age. Scores have been translated into the Stokeshire 12-trait temperament framework to help families understand his natural disposition and identify the best home match.
About Draco
Draco is the gentle one. He came to the handler hesitantly without much tail movement, then followed readily once he had decided to trust. He cuddled in and licked during stroking, offered no struggle when held on his back, and settled when lifted. He does not push; he lets the person lead.
He is more sensitive to touch than his littermates, responding early on the paw test, and he ran from the moving towel. Yet he walked over to investigate the umbrella and located the sharp sound without retreating. He is cautious about sudden movement and open to novelty that arrives at his pace.
He did not chase the thrown paper, which reads as low motivation for retrieving games and very low prey drive. With moderate energy and his black phantom coat, Draco is best understood as a soft, low-pressure companion who will thrive on predictability, gentle handling, and unhurried introductions.
Ideal Home for Draco
Draco is likely to do best in a quiet, predictable home with patient handlers. His softness is an asset in the right household and a mismatch in a loud or fast-moving one.

Next Steps
Temperament scores are based on the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test conducted at approximately 7 weeks of age. Scores reflect the puppy's first natural response and are intended to inform family matching. They are not guarantees of future behavior, trainability, or disposition.
Each puppy is an individual shaped by genetics, environment, and training. Stokeshire Designer Doodles does not guarantee temperament, adult size or weight, coat characteristics, or lower-allergen properties. Coat outcomes may shift with age, grooming practices, and seasonal cycles. Furnishing and coat genotypes stated above are inferred from the parents' DNA results and are confirmed by individual DNA at go-home.
Families are encouraged to invest in ongoing positive-reinforcement training, socialization, and veterinary care to support their puppy's development. By selecting a Stokeshire puppy, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
