Health & Training
What vaccinations and dewormings has my puppy had?
Three-dose core series. First DHPP at 6 to 8 weeks; second, with leptospirosis, at 10 to 12 weeks; third at 14 to 16 weeks by your vet. Eight-week puppies go home with the first dose; Doodle School™ puppies with the first and second. Dewormings at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 weeks. Records travel with your puppy.
When should my puppy get a rabies vaccination?
Wisconsin requires it by 5 months. We recommend around 20 weeks and no earlier than 15, to space it from the core series. Your state and municipal rules govern; confirm timing with your vet at the first exam.
Is my puppy microchipped?
No. Your vet places and registers the microchip at the first wellness exam, in your name and to your address, so there is no breeder registration to transfer.
Has my puppy been crate or potty trained?
Both are part of Doodle School™. Eight-week puppies have had litter socialization, not formal crate or potty work: set up the crate for night one and use the Potty Training Guide.
When does Doodle School™ start?
At 8 weeks, for 28 days. Your puppy goes home at about 12 weeks. The exact start and graduation dates are confirmed at checkout.
Can you hold my puppy for a few extra days?
We do not board. Pickup after your three-day window is Bootcamp™ at $200 per day, billed from the Go-Home Eligibility Date through the day of pickup or delivery, both days included. Run your dates through the Bootcamp™ Estimator, and tell us early; trainer slots are limited.
Food & First Week
What food is my puppy eating, and how much do I feed?
Diamond Naturals Skin & Coat Salmon. Your agreement requires marine protein only, food and treats, for the first 90 days. Daily amounts by age and expected adult size are in the Essentials Guide calculator. If your vet documents a medical need for a different diet, follow it and let us know.
What size crate and collar should I buy?
It depends on expected adult size, which varies by pairing. The Essentials Guide calculator gives the exact crate size and collar fit so you buy once.
Do you recommend supplements?
NuVet Plus is optional. Good food is the foundation. The 90-day protocol covers treats, chews, toppers, and supplements, so check with us before adding anything new.
What if I have questions the first week?
Ask the voice assistant first. All families get 30-day post-placement support; Doodle School™ families also get weekly trainer follow-up. For health concerns, call your vet first, then loop us in.
