A Wisconsin family that raises one of our breeding dogs as their own pet. She lives with you full time and comes to Stokeshire only for defined breeding and whelping windows. There is no purchase price and no money changes hands. In exchange, we retain breeding rights for a defined term under a signed Guardian agreement and cover all health testing, breeding-related care, whelping, and her spay at retirement. You cover routine vet care, food, and grooming, and manage her through heat cycles. At retirement, ownership transfers to you in full.

She carries one copy of the FGF4 retrogene, associated with chondrodystrophy and Type I disc disease. Research indicates one or two copies carry similar risk, and weight, activity, and other factors influence whether a dog ever shows signs. Many never do. If bred, she will be paired only with sires that test clear, and her status is disclosed in every litter listing. Weight management, low-impact exercise, a harness, and ramps instead of repeated jumping are reasonable precautions. Ask your veterinarian about her care.

She was 35 pounds at eight and a half months and is tracking toward about 40. Her Embark report estimated 58; genetic weight models often overshoot in doodles, so we go by the scale. She is furnished and Embark predicts light shedding. Lower-shedding is not non-shedding, and no dog is truly hypoallergenic. If allergies matter, meet her before you apply.
