Puppy Hand-Delivery, United States
Stokeshire Designer Doodles offers professional puppy hand-delivery within the contiguous United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Our flight nannies personally escort your puppy from Central Wisconsin to your nearest major airport, ensuring a safe, calm journey from our program to your home.
Service Details
Domestic hand-delivery begins at $500 plus actual airfare and the airline’s pet in-cabin fee. For most U.S. destinations, total transportation and insurance runs from about $1,550 plus tax, subject to change with airline pricing and routing. Use our Flight Nanny Cost Estimator above for a personalized breakdown based on your destination.
Puppies under 20 lbs travel in-cabin with a flight nanny as a carry-on passenger. Every flight includes an airline-approved soft carrier, the booked flight, and ground transportation to the departure airport, and travels with the $295 Travel-Ready Health Certificate Package (CVI).
Hawaii and Puerto Rico may require additional documentation or routing fees, including import permits, rabies compliance timelines, or extended flight itineraries. We provide a detailed estimate once we review your destination’s requirements.
You are welcome to fly in and take your puppy home as a carry-on. We will meet you at Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA); a $120 airport handoff fee applies, selected at checkout.
Puppies too large for in-cabin travel are placed through Stokeshire ground transport or a custom hand-delivery routing, quoted individually. Stokeshire does not ship puppies as cargo. We handle all logistics, but recommend flexibility as weather conditions and airline policies can affect scheduling.
The Process
- Booking Confirmation. Request hand-delivery with your preferred dates and routes. Our Transport Team (Transport@wisconsindesignerdoodles.com) will confirm flight options and nanny availability.
- Flight Selection. We book the safest, most direct routes available, typically departing from CWA, MSP, or ORD. Your preferences are factored into every itinerary.
- Invoice & Payment. After you approve the flight plan, we book the ticket and send a QuickBooks invoice covering airfare, pet in-cabin fee, carrier, and any additional documentation. Payment is due upon receipt.
- Calendar Invitation. You receive a calendar invite with flight details, your assigned nanny’s contact information, and emergency numbers.
- Pre-Flight Check-In. Connect with your assigned nanny via text or email the evening before travel to finalize logistics and confirm alignment.
- Arrival & Pickup. Meet your puppy at the baggage claim area listed in your calendar invite. Your nanny will be there with your puppy and all required paperwork.
- Flight Updates. Subscribe to airline alerts or use the airline’s app for real-time tracking. Your nanny will also communicate any changes directly via text or WhatsApp.
Preparing for Pickup
- Carrier or Crate. Bring a secure, airline-approved crate large enough for your puppy to stand, lie down, and turn comfortably. Very small puppies may be held in the car for bonding during the ride home.
- Harness & Leash. Required for safe potty breaks at pet relief areas during travel and at the airport.
- Food & Water. Bring a small supply. We limit in-flight intake to reduce the chance of accidents.
- Puppy Pads & Towels. Pack extras for spills or accidents. Your puppy pack includes a few pee pads to get started.
- Toys or Chews. Familiar comfort items help reduce travel stress and give your puppy something to focus on.
- Car Window Shades. Consider shades to regulate temperature during the drive home, especially in warm weather.
