Why this visit exists

Time on site is normally reserved for Match Day.

In-person time at Stokeshire is usually part of Match Day, and most families meet us there or by video. Some families want to see where their puppy will be raised before that day arrives. The Pre-Match Day Visit is for them.

It is a guided, by-appointment visit for families who already hold a reservation. It is not a selection appointment, and it does not change your place in the match order.

Meet the program

Time with the adult dogs in our program, including your litter's parents when they are on site.

See where puppies are raised

A walk through our meeting and training spaces, with a plain explanation of how a Stokeshire litter is raised from birth to Match Day.

Ask your questions in person

Coat, size, temperament, training, timing. Bring the list your family has been building.

How it works

Four steps to your visit.

  1. Confirm your reservation

This visit is for families with a reservation deposit on file. If you have not yet submitted your puppy application, please complete it before your visit. It tells us about your home so the time is useful to you.

  2. Purchase the visit

Add the visit to your cart and complete checkout. The visit fee covers the visit itself and is separate from your puppy's price.

  3. Choose a time

We will email you within one business day to confirm a date and time. Visits are scheduled on weekdays and coordinated around our litter schedule. Requested dates are not guaranteed until we confirm them.

  4. Arrive prepared

Follow the health and safety steps below. They protect every puppy here, including the one that will be yours.

What to expect with puppies

Puppies are visited on their schedule, not ours.

Your own litter may not be born yet, or may be too young for visitors. Puppies can be visited only after their first parvovirus vaccination, at about 6 to 7 weeks of age, and our whelping and nursery rooms are closed to visitors. When a litter on site is old enough, we may introduce you to those puppies. Which puppies you meet is our decision on the day.

This is not a selection visit. Matching happens on Match Day, in waitlist order, using weeks of observation and the aptitude evaluation. Nothing you see on this visit reserves a puppy. How Match Day works.

Health and safety

Required for every visitor.

  • Avoid dog parks, pet stores, boarding facilities, daycares, shelters, and grooming salons for 2 to 3 weeks before your visit. This applies to everyone attending, children included.
  • If anyone in your household, or any of your pets, is sick or has been exposed to a contagious illness, contact us and we will reschedule.
  • Remove shoes at the door and use the disinfection mat when asked.
  • Wash or sanitize hands before and after handling any dog.
  • Children are welcome and stay with an adult at all times. Please do not open gates or carry puppies without our team's guidance.
  • No outside pets on the property.
  • There is no guest bathroom on site. Please plan ahead.

Full details are in our Biosecurity & Visitor Policy, which every family agrees to when reserving.

Questions

Before you book.

Who can book this visit?

Families with a reservation deposit on file for a Stokeshire litter. Pick of the Litter families already have the option of an in-person Match Day appointment and do not need this visit to come on site.

Will we meet our puppy?

Usually not. Most families on a planned litter visit before their puppies are born or before they are old enough for visitors. Most of our dams live with guardian homes, and our puppies are whelped in our home. If a litter on site is old enough for visitors, you are welcome to meet a select few of those puppies.

Does the visit change our place on the waitlist?

No. Match order is set by the date your deposit was received. A visit does not move a family forward or back.

Is the visit fee applied to our puppy?

No. The fee covers the visit and is separate from your puppy's price.

Can grandparents or other family members come?

Yes, within reason. Tell us who is coming when we confirm your time. We may limit group size to keep the dogs calm.

Does anyone in our family have allergies?

If allergies are the reason for your visit, book the On-Site Allergy Sensitivity Visit instead. It is built for that question.
