On-Site Allergy Sensitivity Visit
On-Site Allergy Sensitivity Visit
On-Site Allergy Sensitivity Visit.
Thirty guided minutes with Stokeshire puppies, so a family member with known or suspected dog allergies can see how they respond before a puppy comes home.
No dog is allergen-free. Time together tells you more.
Doodles are often called hypoallergenic, but every dog produces allergens in its skin, saliva, and dander. Lower-shedding coats tend to leave less of that around the home, and many families with mild allergies report living comfortably with a doodle. Reactions vary from person to person, and time with the puppies is the clearest way to see how yours responds.
This visit gives you that time, in person, before you commit to a puppy.
Guided time with our puppies
30 minutes holding and interacting with a select few Stokeshire puppies in a clean, controlled space, with our team beside you.
Coat guidance
We explain how coat type and furnishings affect shedding, and which coats may suit a household with mild allergies.
A clear next step
Whatever happens during the visit, we talk through your options before you leave.
This is not a medical allergy test. It shows how you respond to our dogs on one day. For severe allergies or asthma, talk with your allergist before visiting.

Chosen by us, for this purpose.
Most of our dams live with guardian homes, and our puppies are whelped in our home. We schedule your visit for a day when a litter on site is old enough for visitors, and we choose a select few of those puppies to take part. They may not be from your litter.
Puppies can be visited only after their first parvovirus vaccination, at about 6 to 7 weeks of age. Our whelping and nursery rooms are closed to visitors.
This is not a selection visit. It is not part of Pick of the Litter or Match Day, nothing you see reserves a puppy, and your place in the match order does not change. How Match Day works.

Directions, airports, and where families stay: Visit Stokeshire.
Before you book.
Can every family member with allergies come?
Yes. Please bring everyone whose allergies will affect living with the dog.
Will the puppies we meet be from our litter?
Usually not. Most families visit before their own litter is born or old enough for visitors. Allergens are shared across dogs, so time with any of our puppies is a useful read.
Does a good visit mean we will not react at home?
No. A visit shows how you respond on one day, to the dogs you met. Living with a dog every day is a different exposure, and reactions can change over time. Many families with mild allergies report doing well with a lower-shedding coat, but no breeder can promise an outcome.
What if allergies develop after our puppy comes home?
We do not offer refunds for allergic reactions after placement. If you cannot keep your dog for any reason, contact us first. We will work with you to rehome your dog safely and responsibly.
How can we reduce allergens at home?
Regular grooming and bathing, an air purifier, a dog-free bedroom, and washable covers on furniture tend to help. Your allergist can tell you what fits your situation.
We want to visit, but allergies are not the concern.
Book the Pre-Match Day Visit instead. It is built for families who want to see Stokeshire before Match Day.
Visiting is voluntary and at your own risk.
Interacting with animals carries risk, including allergic reactions, scratches, and nips. You are responsible for your own medical care. Stokeshire does not guarantee that any dog is free of allergens or suited to any person's allergies. You confirm this at checkout.
